What is this breed?

I wish I had spent more time handling my bird. She’s not terrible but will bite randomly. Especially if I offer my finger when she’s perched on her cage on the outside or sitting on perch to the door when door is open. Once she’s out away from cage she’s better but I’m still Leary sometimes cuz it hurts and even draws blood at times. But I love her to pieces. Just should have socialized more when she was younger. 🦜❤️

We have a terrier mix that grew up with 3 other dogs. Since the other dogs have passed away, our terrier mix has become dog aggressive..... all 15 pounds of her. When she was younger we had chickens and the dog would mingle with the chickens when I was with them and she was always good with them. She has always chased and killed rabbits and lizards when she could catch them but she is too old for that now. I see that she chases all the wild birds now and barks at them if she feels they are perched "too low" on the trees outside. She seems happy that they fly away and we've seen her chew on dead baby birds that fall out of their nests when they are only a few days old. We get a lot of that during certain months, as we live in the desert and that happens quite a bit every season. We correct her and she listens and drops the birds but I'm not sure if she would still be good with chickens, the way she was when she was younger. She is a very obedient dog and listens to all commands, including "drop it" or simply "no". I'm not sure if it's safe to bring a bird in our home, even though they would never be unsupervised. We're thinking of getting a rescue bird but I want to make sure everything will be safe first. I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks very much.

Thank you so much for this video!! My 2 parakeet rescues nails are insanely overgrown, since I’m a minor I’m not able to take them to a vet, and my parents not in a rush to do so either. Now I’ll be able to trim their nails and hopefully some point later in time go to the vet just for a checkup!! Thank you for the video, it was a life saver!

We rolled elastic band all around the boing. It is now completely safe and the absolutely love it. That cotton in the boing is super fangerous, and covering it that way it will become completely safe.

Note: these only apply in countries that have avian vets and well equipped pet stores with the right sized toys and quality food. Sometimes you have to do what you can because you have no other choice. So many bird videos on YT assume you live in the USA which has all the necessities for parrot ownership. Other countries cater only to cats and dogs with every other kind of animal as an afterthought. One of my local pet shops sells seed infested with moths and only has budgie and 'big parrot' toys. I do not shop there. Sometimes, I have to mail order toys and pellet supplements. I live in a city and at times the stores have nothing. It's not unusual for a cat/dog vet to see my bird because there is one avian vet in the entire country. Some bird parents are lucky, others are not.

Hey I was wondering what cage do you use for your birds because I have been needing a cage upgrade

I adopted a new conure from a petshop who was teased and mistreated . Super aggressive . I have another one that is like my lifemate , loving , protecting etc . Ive tried bonding to no avail . When the mean one sneaks up and nips me , my protector jumps in a scolds her physically . Any advise ?

So whenever I got two birds for my first time, the blue one was being mean to the other one so we got two more birds, but the blue one stayed inside the cage alone, my birds snowy banana blue I have a blue one so I named it blue I have a white one I named it snowy and a yellow one banana

How do you get the bird our so you can clean the cage?

What is your kid and you get like that a lot by your parakeet and then sometimes they just say like flap around the whole time and and sometimes the bird will get out of the cage what would happen? What would you do?

We just adopted our baby last week. He instantly fell in love with my boyfriend, but seems to have a lot of aggression towards me. My bf has had birds in the past, I have not. I get bit every time I try to change out his food and water or when I try to pet him. I'm definitely going to start paying attention to what's going on when he bites me. Thanks for all the tips!

I’ve had a love bird and a cocktail for about maybe a year and a half I’ve been trying to take them but they always bite me and fly away somewhere in the house it takes about 3 hours to get them back in the cage, I always try to spend time with them but they make these noises like they don’t want me to be there, this happens every time they see a person, to be honest I think me and my family might seek them since we’re moving houses but I’m not sure, it makes me really sad I can’t bond with them or tame them, one day I tried putting food in their cage for them, as always but then the lovebird bit me and my finger started bleeding for about an hour

If your bird bites you hard that means the bird doesn't like you and have no bond with you. Even with a nest . But if they nibble on you then that means they love you.

How often should I feed my bird cockatoo chop?

I had a parrotlet as a teen. She was a lot of work and tore up anything made of paper when you weren’t looking. Although I loved her and was happy to put in that hard work, it’s definitely important to remember this bird family is made up of as much unbridled mischief and willfulness as they are cute and funny.
